Mariko Endo

Biography
Birthplace:
Japan’s southern central region Kansai (Mie, Nara, Wakayama, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo and Shiga Prefectures)

History:
Mariko Endo’s music training first started at the age of 4 with piano lessons. Ten years later, at the age of 14, she made the transition to the saxophone, which in turn set her on her way towards a Major Degree in Instrumental Music with Wind Instruments obtained at Osaka College of Music.
After graduating, she went on to debut as a professional musician fronting her band ‘Funkick Deli’ at various Venues in and around the Osaka area.

Present:
In 2008, Mariko released her first solo Album ‘Life in the sky’ on a local independent label. The CD was highly appreciated among fans and in local Funk-Fusion-Smooth Jazz circles.

At present Mariko keeps a busy live schedule performing in many different constellations and genres while firmly establishing her name as a Live / Recording musician of great talent.
